Can this be true?

EV with ‘unlimited’ range tested, car battery’s energy increases as it travels more

Lots of claims and even lots of investors, but if something sounds too good to be true .......

I think the three-legged stool analogy should apply:
Is there real evidence it works?
Is there a theory that at least makes it possible?
Does the track record of the claimant support his/her credibility?

Perhaps there isn't a leg to stand on.

Apparently this approach draws on the strange behavior of quantum mechanics, the Zero Point Energy Field, and the Casimir effect. It has been studied for years, and it involves trying to harness energy from the changing state of particles. While it might be theoretically possible, most physicists think it is highly unlikely.

While I am mystified by the quantum world and it's implications that seem to be contrary to conventional thinking, I think I will remain on the very skeptical side of this possibility. Perhaps the real furniture of the world is only revealed after the quantum wave form collapses, but the wave form in my mind collapses when I read it, so I'm not going down that rabbit hole.

Well, without getting into quantum mechanics and all that other stuff that is over my head, I can see that the motions of the car and its parts would add a boost to the battery, but not add more than is already there. As Grampa Don suggested, we would have created perpetual motion, which would be the biggest discovery since the end of the stone age.

It sounds like utter rot to me. I'm reminded of the way Joe Rube calls a dish antenna a "satellite" because his vocabulary was constructed by aping words without understanding them. What next? Quantum Coin? Quantum Milk? Quantum Vaccine?

But the proof is in the pudding. Wait and see, but don't invest in it!

Well, it's a bit different than perpetual motion. There is energy all around us (Wind, solar, electromagnetic, atomic, chemical, etc...), but being able harness it is always the trick, but it has been done. We have a solar aircraft that traveled all the way around the world (25,000 miles) without stopping and without a drop of fuel. There are solar powered cars as well, but due to conventional design constraints, the panels that currently exist will only work with concept cars, as the panels are only about 20% efficient, and there just isn't enough surface area on the cars we drive.

That being said, I am highly skeptical that the claims made by this company to extract energy from Zero Point Energy have any credibility. If they did, it would be all over the news. I think this is an attempt to do a little hocus pocus to fool risky investors.

Why does this battery enhancer sound like those ads you used to see in cheap magazines for a pill you throw in your gas tank. Then you won't need any gas, your car runs on water. You'll never have to buy gas again. And of course it worked.

Reminds me of my household heat pump that extracts heat from cold air. Actually, it's not that complicated, but years ago when I first heard about how it worked, I would have called bull$hit; "You can't get heat from cold air. There's no heat in it. That's why it's cold."

Now I love my heat pump. Would have nothing else today.
