An Ugly Christmas Sweater

Some people get ugly Christmas sweaters, often from friends or family who think they're funny, or by buying them from thrift stores and big-box retailers like Walmart for cheap. Some people have received them as gifts, while others have purchased them specifically for holiday parties or to intentionally win "ugliest sweater" contests.

But I do have several Christmas tshirts, ( Christmas in middle of summer in Australia) one is very loud, I guess in the ugly sweater style.

I have fond memories of some of the people in my life that used to ‘rock’ their holiday themed sweaters, making fun of that tradition seems a bit cruel to me.



I tend to stay away from anything that draws attention to me.

I'm ugly enough, so, if someone sent me an ugly sweater for Christmas, they'd get it back next Christmas. Anyway, I prefer to wear cardigans or waistcoats.

I went to an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party a few years ago. I just bought a Christmas sweatshirt from the thrift shop and glued a mirror on the front. Ta-Da!!!

Although I only wear solid colored sweaters, I actually sort of like that one.

Yes, I wore one on Christmas day while my daughter was small and then again for the grandchildren.

I once had a pretty one; black with a red poinsettia near the shoulder. IMO anyway.

No. I don’t have enough closet room to store things now, especially something I define as ugly.
