Relaxing is a good way to relieve stress, but sometimes stress is also the reason that a person cannot relax. I know' when I am really concerned and worrying about something , just sitting down ad relaxing is not usually a doable thing for me.
Actually, just pacing back and forth seems to help, and even better is going outside and taking a long walk, while maybe talking with God about the whole situation. Or sometimes, just walking and telling the family dog the whole story helps, basically just talking about it, and getting it off of your chest.
Another thing that helps me with stress, is to get involved in something else, but not something that I have to concentrate hard to do, because I usually can't do that. But just working in the garden, weedeatering, or (yuck)even doing the dishes, will get your mind off the worries , and then I can settle down, and relax.
