Anheuser-Busch halts beer production

On Monday morning Anheuser-Busch’s Cartersville, Georgia, brewery traded in hops for helping hands.
In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the beer-maker's emergency water program has sent over 155,000 cans of drinking water to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Arlington, Texas, to help those in need.

That is a great program!!!

The plant near me shipped canned water to the victims of hurricane Sandy in 2012.

During Allison, we got some of the free water in cans and it tasted awful!! Beggars can't be choosers but I gave mine to a neighbor who had little kids and needed it worse than I did. She said she mainly cooked with it and watered her plants as she could not handle the taste either. My daughter was able to get several cases of bottled water where she worked so she brought me some.

Terry, are you doing OK? I've been worrying about you.

Thanks Butterfly. We got a ton of rain but our complex did not flood. Right now it is not raining for a change. A friend told me that one of the reasons we do not flood is that we are higher here in Clear Lake. His theory is that I am only a mile from Nasa and 2 miles from Ellington AFB and they were built on higher ground to avoid flooding. Who knows but I am very thankful that we did not flood. I have been counting my blessings everyday as it has been raining constantly varying the amounts. Its very disturbing to have constant rain all day and all night. But I feel for the ones in Baytown, etc who they are still trying to rescue. A lot of the freeways are still closed and it amazes me that people are going around the barricades, getting stuck and expecting someone to rescue them!!! It just hampers the ones trying to rescue the ones on top of their houses!
