It is interesting how the Mama cat was trusting enough to walk away and have a seat buy the wall while her kittens were playing with the dog. Of course, she may have been thinking "finally, I can take a break"

It's amazing how animals know exactly how rough they can play with different size animals. Notice how gentle the dog was with the kittens & how much rougher he played with the large cat.
I was also surprised at a Black Lab I had a few years ago. I always encouraged him to jump on me. He was so large, he could put his front paws on my shoulders (I'm 5'11"). But he NEVER did that to my elderly parents. When my mom or dad would tell him to jump on them, he'd stay in a sitting position & put his paws on their legs while keeping his weight on the floor. He knew they were older & could fall.
