@-Oy- o/h loves laphroaig he pronounced it as Lafrog so I mentioned to my friend who likes whiskey, that she should try Lafrog - she said she hadn't heard of that one - I fell for it as I know nothing about whiskey. I notice he has a certificate for a Lifetime Lease on a Square Foot of Islay. Happy anniversary - enjoy your Lafrog!!!!!!:giggle:

Happy Anniversary Oy. It's our 47th next month and I might treat us to another bottle of "Sweet Smoke" from the Aisla Bay distillery.
I have a bottle of laphroaig in my drinks cupboard. It's probably the most 'peaty' of the western isles malts. My favourite is the rather milder Lagavulin 16 year old.

Thanks :)

There are quite a few Islay single malts peatier than Laphroaig - despite what their marketting people say. One of my faves Ardbeg Corryvrekken is certainly so, but the king of peat is the Octomore range from Bruichladdich. I've had a few shots but a bottle is out of my price range.
