Annual check-up

After most routine checks were suspended due to Covid, I got a call to go for a check-up at the health centre this morning. Usually this consists of a nurse with a check list , a lot of advice that would insult the intelligence of a small child, a blood test and BP check.
Today, it was a nurse who was obviously in a hurry - just a quick BP check, a blood sample, a quick look to see that I was still alive, and off home.

I've had high BP for many years and I was dreading what the nurse would find - only to be told that it was very good at 120/70. The shock was almost too much. I'm a tad overweight (or just too short) and not exactly the fittest, so I was very surprised but pleased. Best not complain.

Congrats on the check up. I get one each year and so far so good. I take meds for high BP as I have a history of brain aneurysms and need to keep everything in check. I feel like I am blest and thank God for keeping me safe each day. I have a lot to be thankful for.
