Another finding in support of the "Theory of Quantum Immortality" (TOQI)

I have been following the TOQI thread here on SF.

People (like Fuzzy) ask for proof.

People (like me) in support offer findings in neurology (neural plasticity), physics (quantum multiverses), and Buddism.

Well here's two more very recent findings:

Scientists Confirm the Incredible Existence of Time Reflections
For more than 50 years, scientists theorized that an electromagnetic wave could be reflected temporally—not just spatially.

  • Scientists have been unable to confirm the existence of time reflection due to the amount of energy required to create a temporal interface.
  • Using an engineered metamaterial scientists in New York City were able to successfully observe time reflections for the first time.
The explanation of spatial reflections—whether by light or by sound—are pretty intuitive. Electromagnetic radiation in the form of light or sound waves hit a mirror or wall, respectively, and change course. This allows our eyes to see a reflection or echo of the original input. However, for more than 50 years, scientists have theorized that there’s another kind of reflection in quantum mechanics known as time reflection.

When I briefly post neuroscience information, I don't expect this general forum audience to absorb much less minimally understand whatever. All Earth life animal phyla brains with neochords use oscillating reverberating standing wave brain waves that are electromagnetic phenomenon, within neural tissues to create "mind".

The decades old narrative that science doesn't understand what mind is, is rapidly becoming dated given new technology Functional Magnetic Resonance (fMR), EEG, and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) research machines. IMO, the so-called "Hard Problem" of phenomenal consciousness subjective experience will be found to be due to physical forms of fine brain wave textures within their water electrolyte neural system containers. Our consciousness experience will then be found to be very similar to that of other higher evolved animals. This will have a paradym changing effect on those scientists trying to create singularity level AI by merely using sequential electronic like circuitry.

Ah ha. You give me an excuse to post Dr. Selen Atasoy YouTube lecture links again in an SF thread, thank you. Implications of her work towards understanding mind consciousness seems to have been lost in the vast amount of more mainstream dominant complex work in those science fields that are overwhelming those interpreting progress in ways dominant neurology science can understand. I understand most of her presentation except her mathematical Laplace equation she did not bore the audience with. Her part of the video begins at 1:30 and ends at 31:30, so half an hour.

One off OP subject note at 14:00 in the video is the chart showing the effective observed power of fMRI machine measured brain activity under the influence of a hallucinogen, as a greater amplitude than when patient's were given placebo's. The perceptual phenomenon of heightened awareness is generally in the same dimension as when experiencing other hallucinogens. Examples of which are more perceived intensity of the 5 senses. One can infer that likewise, endocannabinoid system effecting substances result in somewhat higher amplitude in some dimensions of the brain wave fields on fMRI displays.

The fact the experience of senses can be amplified by those substances in the same dimension as the fields, shows how the size of the field itself directly increases the perceptual intensity of that mental experience. Understanding that IMO, absolutely points to why mind is an electromagnetic field phenomenon and not a structure of sequential or logical conductor circuits like our computers. At 15:00 shows how the fields under the hallucinogen also contain greater overall detail by shifting harmonics to higher frequencies.

Now watch this related Youtube video at the most prestigious Oxford University that reflects how respected these radical recent ideas are.

The worthwhile part of her talk starts at 15:30. At 18:00 she discusses how standing wave patterns form on a geometrical mathematical basis from her equation. At 19:50 is a fascinating experiment with sand patterns on a vibrating rectangular plate that shows sand densities form between standing waves peaks. At 20:15 shows how the opposite level of reduced amplitude brain activity occurs when administered anesthesia. So is not a result of say some gateway brain pathway blocking activity but rather one of reduced field power amplitudes.

The inference again is the amplitude of those field somewhat directly correlates with perceived awareness levels. At 29:00 she show evidence the calculated location of standing wave fields in the brain correspond to functional areas fMRI scans shows activity within and such structures have physical geometric patterns. At 21:10 she shows preferred harmonic frequencies to cause sand pattern resonances with the understanding that between those frequencies, off resonance, such regular patterns don't occur.

Animals brains via evolution, have developed brain chemical feedback systems within neural networks to cause brain wave oscillations at such resonances in order to illuminate and focus attention and awareness under acting, purposeful thinking, executive control in different geographical brain locations.

I wondered if Selen, that I admit to finding quite attractive maybe through the intelligence and emotion I sense in her voice, was married haha, but nothing shows on any websites she is on. Oh well, what the heck, will send her an email asking for a date doing some skiing in Tahoe or backpacking in the Sierra Nevada. That way we might cross pollinate with...ideas.
