Another net outage problem

I cant believe how these outages have occurred in last 2-3 months-o_O

It regards Google and even AOL.

Most seem to be in the northeast east. I have had a PC since 1988 and have never been in any Google or AOL outage before.

If you know someone in this outage ,maybe-if the have a tower PC and an external modem, I can tell here how I finally got out of the recent outages.

Google had a pop up three months ago as to many things one could do to try to get out of the outage. Most remedies didn't work.

Google controls our Windows 10,which don't work during outages.

Hope all is well with everyone here- we expect temps in the 90s for rest of the week, with periodic thunderstorms-Southern tier NY

What does Google have to do with any of this? How does Google "control" your "Windows 10" anyway?

I really don't understand any of that.

As for backup to my cable Internet provider goes, I don't struggle too hard. If I need it bad enough I can just tether my phone to my desktop via USB cable and use my phone data plan access as long as I need to. If I really needed other devices online I can use its WiFi hot spot feature instead.

I always finish every month with tons of data left over anyway, even on my 15GB/month plan that doesn't roll over. On my next annual renewal I might even step down another notch to a mere 10GB/month plan if it saves me more than pennies a year when that time comes.

Good question- many in the Google community lost Windows ability during the outages, and it also affected android phones.

In all these years of having Windows, I never knew Google had control over them. I sure wonder a lot about that.

I must admit I am a little confused. Do you happen to have Google Fiber as your ISP ? It is available in limited markets, so is that what you are referring too ?
