Another person I know has passed

The visiting hours are from 5 to 7 pm tomorrow. I hope I can drive to and from there okay. Since my retinal detachment, I don't drive well at night.

I didn't mean it to sound like it was devastating for me. He's a guy that did some furniture repair for me years ago He and his wife attended church - just an acquaintance.

Me too. And he sent us a subscription of Readers Digest. Every month it comes with a note that says the magazine subscription is a gift from him, not that we could ever forget him, never ever.

He wasn't cremated. There was a body in the casket. That's getting to be rarer these days. Many now want cremation.

A high school classmate's obit was in the newspaper today. Apparently she was involved in a car accident a while ago and never really recovered from her injuries.

Another classmate's obit in the paper today. Makes me start to look over my shoulder.

Thank you. The obit said he had been suffering from cancer for some time (didn't specify what type of cancer).

This is like 4 people in the last few weeks - two high school classmates and two other acquaintances.

About 10 years ago 4 of my close friends died all within a month. Only one of them was expected. The others were very unusual. It made me feel pretty vulnerable to getting a visit from the axe man.

8 of my friends and all 4 of my dogs all died within a few years. It was a awful time!

I saw the obit today for a person to which I used to deliver meals.
