Another steam train - Duke of Gloucester

Yep - been at the Severn Valley Railway this last three days. He're my favourite shot of the trip.

BR Class 8 No.71000 'Duke of Gloucester'. The only one of it's class made. It's a bit of a beast. Seen here departing Highley Station bound for Kidderminster.

and just for the record this is the Other (current) Duke of Gloucester ( prince Richard) ... the late queen's cousin

I met and photographed him about 15 years ago. He's a qualified architect and came to open some new buildings in my old home town.

Yes I knew he was an architect..altho' he gave it up almost as soon as he qualified....
