Well last night I dreamed I was at some kind of farm; there was a cow. The colors I saw were red, brown, as well as black and white.
Actually even if you were asleep while hubby watched such shows the sounds (especially the emotion cueing music of such shows) could seep thru your senses to subconscious and and effect your dreams. When, after becoming an adult living on my own, i'd go to Mom's to babysit my much younger brother so she could go out on a Friday and/or Saturday night, i slept on the couch. Next morning Jay is up watching cartoons. When i realized how much they influencing my early morning dreams there i started getting up when came out and turned the TV on. Too much unproductive action irrelevant to my life.Quote: Luckily, they aren't that frequent. My husband will watch a lot of horror or suspense movies in the bedroom, and I think even though I'm not watching them with him, I'll look for a few minutes and the scene may stick in my sub conscience.
A friend called me very upset because she has been waking up tired and tense in the mornings. Clenched, like she is afraid of something. We talked through many thoughts and I believe we came to notice the tv and movies she has been watching this week were all WW2 films and documentaries on the atrocities of the war. She switched her viewing to soaps and romantic comedy and has been sleeping much better. The things we watch do put thoughts in our heads for our minds to work out at night. My last show at night is STAR TREK where good things happen.
i rarely have trouble returning to a dream if i want to, tho the last decade i've lived in setting that doesn't produce many sudden awakenings. Are you ever in the middle of a blissful dream and you have to get up? You want to go back to the same dream? When you lie back down, get in the same physical position. Chances are you'll go right back and finish the dream.
There are so many layers to my dreams, it's like opening an onion. Perhaps they are different vibrations from the multiverse.
The more it unfolds the more things there are to yet unfold! It's never-ending! My dreams are beyond thrilling! I am often transported to other lifetimes far in the future where I see miraculous things! Mostly I study with Holy Angels!
One thing not mentioned in this thread is FEELINGS! The FEELINGS in my dreams are incredible!
What's on T.V. or what was watched before bed can affect dreams. I try not to watch anything too heavy, graphic and definitely no news close to bedtime. I play the tile matching games too. I was surprised and think it's so cute when the butterflies flutter off. I also played one where the cars and trucks drove off.Actually even if you were asleep while hubby watched such shows the sounds (especially the emotion cueing music of such shows) could seep thru your senses to subconscious and and effect your dreams. For a long time i watched animal videos and those compilation videos of people being kind to each other just before bed. But this last year i've been wanting mind even more uncluttered with random people before bed--so there are some video games i play on my kindle. One is matching game of small cubes making up a larger cube, which can be rotated or stationary (a bit harder that way) the images have various pleasant themes but they've improved the graphics. On the butterfly one when you match small cubes the butterflies on them will flutter off. On the 'Magic' one there are all sorts of interesting images when you match various things. Many of them involve lovely colors and lights which are images i want in my head as i fall asleep.
