Which item or product have you used for other than its intended purpose?

Someone else with time on their hands ....
Using crazy glue as a CA in woodworking
Using an air compresser to clean the flutes from greenhouse windows as well as dusting the indoor Christmas lights.
Using tiny beads to make bait hooks

In a pinch, I've used ketchup to clean silver and jewelry.

Wash the items in hot water smear on the ketchup and let it sit for a few minutes then polish rinse and buff dry with a soft cloth.

Using a hair dryer to de-fog the mirror quickly after a shower.
Getting the grandkids to eat their peas by showing them how to spear them with a toothpick.
Using a kid's battery operated toothbrush to clean my dogs' teeth,
Using a different kids' battery operated toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste to clean my jewelry
Using a pants hanger to hold a recipe (hang it from the knob of the upper cabinet)
Using a straw, shoved through through strawberries from bottom to top, to remove the stem.

I use the steam from the electric kettle to get those 'shoulder' bumps out that hangers make in sweaters (I know, I know, sweaters shouldn't be hung up). I do have a mini steamer, but the kettle works in a pinch.

Also, I use long tongs to reach boxes on the top shelf of the cupboard. Hey, I'm only 5' tall.

Rather than setting up the ironing table and iron, I use my hair straightener to put the pleat back in my raincoat.

Used the outside part of ball point pen to thread the string back into a sweatshirt hood.
Sprayed inside of toilet with straight vinegar to remove yellowing.

I use a long handled back scratcher to roll a can of beer out from under my bed. I find this keeps me from drinking too much. I keep them under the bed and get one to put in the refrigerator an hour or so before I want to drink it.
