I just picked up his book, "Going Home in the Dark" at the library. I'm only on page 31 and about to give up.
Too wordy and his characters don't talk realistically. They tend to be unrealistic....too bad or too good, too innocent or too evil. I like characters to speak like they would in person, not like they just ate a copy of Rogets Thesaurus for lunch and are now pooping it. I was going to say "excreting" but then I'd be guilty of what I don't like.
I'll probably finish it, just to see what happens, but I'll read the other books I brought home first.
