324 miles up US 395 is Bodie. Pretty neat, love to tour old gold mining ghost towns.
Calico Ghost Town is actually only 60 miles from here, just up the 15 fwy that heads to Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. UT. Calico is now a San Bernardino county Regional Park, and has been heavily restored as a public attraction.

We have a large track of land that at one time had 3 small towns. In 1916 WNC experienced and epic flood and literally wiped out the area. About half of it became state lands, and about 4000 acres was privately held as a farm...Then it was destroyed by development and a golf course.
