Many, many years ago I joined a site that required a date of birth because you had to be 21. It was very friendly and on my made-up birthday I’d get lots of greetings. I was there for years.

I was on Quora for a while, technically still am. But rarely go anymore for a variety of reasons including time and priorities. It is 'evolving' recently big fanfare about potential to get paid for content.

One of my issues early on was that many questions seemed to be from students wanting others to their research for them.

How many e-file their taxes? I did for awhile then realized that I was divulging a lot of personal/financial information arbitrarily to online businesses that can & do sell my information. You may be somewhat safe with the data floating around the IRS, who knows. Is it safe with H&R Block, Turbotax, TaxAct, TaxSlayer,,,etc and their workforce? Are all employees screened for honesty and intregrity, and will not sell or use my information? Are you still worried Bill Gates is going to inject a chip into you? You are on the grid! Your data is out there!

After the fiasco I had while trying to complete the questions and interaction on ID.me taught me there are some things I can do without.
