Any limber members here solved pain?

I had been working recently for several months stocking groceries. The first squat of the day always had some pain before relaxing some. The first couple weeks of work were very painful.

I can do a full Asian squat now and am grateful for that.

So is this just the way it's going to be? Some pain every morning?

I call that being in pretty good shape. 👍

I stay active at the gym in a seniors circuit class 3X a week, plus Yoga classes 3 days a week as well. But I have pain, mostly do to Osteoarthritis in left shoulder and hip, plus lower back with stenosis and bulging discs.
Pain solutions? I can't/won't take NSAIDs, so it's rest, heating pad, alcohol, Cannabis and just recently- Cayenne supplements.

I believe in Aspirin too but also heat. A heating pad on a troublesome area will often prevent the need for meds or other remedies. I also find warm baths in a tubful of Epsom salts beneficial. We're all different so experiment and find out what works for you. I've enjoyed the question and responses.

I have arthritis in my upper arms, which hurts every single day. Esp in the mornings. I used to do stretches upon waking up but several months ago the arduous task of getting up and down from the floor put an end to this. I am 79 and tho I did these stretches for most of my adult life, I decided it was time to stop. I load up on Tylenol, the only thing my stomach can handle. I also rub a salve from the pot dispensary on them.

I never knew how my right hand suffered a strain or injury a couple of years ago, but there was a sudden onset of pain and weakness to the point I couldn't even use the forefinger to press down on a can of room spray.

I got a set of rubber balls with different degrees of firmness at Walmart that were made especially for the purpose of strenghening the grip and used them anytime I was sitting, watching TV. Several months went by before noticeable improvement, but now that hand is as good as it was prior to the injury.

If you're seeing improvement, maybe the pain will continue improving, given more time.

When I was working a few months ago at FedEx loading trucks I walked out to the Jeep like Frankenstein. I would apply smelly pain cream nearly all over and take pain pills to sleep.

I did about four months stocking groceries after that with just two Tylenol every night.

Am down over 30 pounds since January.

After a few days rest the stairs machine will be my daily date. Left the grocery job. Need big paychecks again.

Good job w the unwanted 30. Strengthen your core if you're going to make an effort at fitness,

I went through a period of painful osteoarthritis in my shoulders and hips. I went to physical therapy and learned various exercises to correct the pain. I now also work out my back/shoulders at the gym. No issues.

I do wake up with back pain in the morning, most likely because I need to replace my mattress. I have a bed that has a scrolled-iron headboard and footboard. I grab those iron pieces in the headboard and stretch my body out as far and as long as I can.

I think my mattress is OK but my back needs replaced.

I have had three back ops and have some pain all the time. The normal pain is like background noise you get used to it. I have Oxynorm tablets when it gets too bad occasionally - usually when I lift too much.

Unfortunately I have been getting some sciatica recently which is how the whole sage started 25 years ago. I am hoping that it doesn't get too bad as the next step is a spinal fusion and I am getting too old for that.
