Yes, but when she danced, what did she do with her thumbs?
 
Never watched it...never cared to. I remember once I called my supervisor (who was also a friend) and he rushed me off the phone saying he had to watch Seinfeld. The reason he really rushed me off the phone is because he didn't want to accidentally let it slip about my surprise party. :D
 
Ironically I watched it fairly often even though the only character I “liked” was Kramer (Michael Richards).Seemed very authentic. To me, Seinfeld was Ego Personified, George and Elaine constantly afraid people would find out “the truth” about how insecure and inferior they felt they were.

To Jerry's credit- he did write each and every one of the episodes, and I imagine his own personal attitudes bled through to his Jerry character.
If you're ever watched Jerry Seinfeld's Comedian's in Cars Drinking Coffee(which is very good BTW) where Jerry drives some vintage car and picks up a well known comedian and goes to chat over coffee. In those conversations Jerry's own personality traits come to light. In some respects he has a humble streak, but simultanously also has a bit of an arrogant side as well. Kind of hard not to be a bit arrogant I would think, for someone who's actually earned a billion dollars.
George and Elaine....they both are such a hot mess! Kramer IS cool.
 
I just finished watching Jerry Seinfeld being interviewed on the Rich Eisen Show. He talked about this scene. The night before the shooting he and Larry David had no idea how to finish the episode. One of the staff suggested the golf ball, which would tie in with the Kramer side story. So Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David came up with the script for George's scene and handed it to Jason Alexander on the day of the shooting before the live audience and he pulled it off perfectly. Seinfeld said that the expression on his face wasn't him acting at the story that George was telling but was because he was amazed how well Jason Alexander pulled it off.


 
George always seemed to be the personification of Larry David to me. I like Seinfeld but can't watch it in the evenings because it makes me anxious. The story lines always involve some sort of conflict.

In the interview Jerry brought that up. And yes, George is loosely based on Larry David but Seinfeld said that he and Larry David are basically the same people.
 
This interview with Larry David was done the week before the final episode of Curb. I think this one is funnier mainly because I can relate more to Larry David than I can to Jerry Seinfeld.

I disagree with Jerry's characterization of being basically the same person as Larry. Jerry may perceive the world similarly but his way of navigating the world and other humans is softer, lighter and less angry/impatient. I DO like LD, but if given a choice to spend an hour with JS or LD, Jerry's name would pop out of my mouth before they finished saying Larry's last name.

AS for the show, while I liked the other characters, Kramer was my hands-down favorite. He lit up the screen - such an extraordinarily gifted physical comedian - among the best of our generation, I think.

In fact, I'd choose MR over JS for that hour.
