Any snow-birds out there?

Every year at this time as winter drags on, I ask myself, What am I doing here? when it's warm and sunnier down south, yet here I am. A complete relocation is a big step, but finding a senior rental for a few months should be doable. Someone here knows something I'm sure.

We were "sunbirds" for years. We'd flee Florida during the hot months for cooler climes...well, except when we were in Mesa in August, and that's about as close to Hell as you can get.

We spent 20 winters in the Caribbean. Sold are home their this year, and will be giving Arizona a try here soon. My aunt spent winters down on the Gulf coast for years, and loved it. May give that a shot next winter.

Have lived in Florida a total of 36 years, plus 14 years in Arizona. In that time have known many snowbirds. It is very common for them to tire of maintaining 2 homes, so they typically sell the one where they keep the snow shovel.
