Any subjects that bored you years back that interest you now?

I'm constantly astounded at people's ignorance with regard not just the world but most often their v ery own countries.

I felt I was terrible at Geography at school I thought, but it transpires that even then, I was so much better than so many people are today.. I don't know if people have no interest or they had terrible teachers, but it's absolutely astonishing how little soooo many people (adults) know...
I took an online geography test not long ago and did great compared to most. However, it seems I'm very good with countries near coastlines, but did poorly (most of my mistakes on the test) with countries in Africa and the former USSR, because they have been broken up into lots of new countries. Also, had some trouble locating some of the smaller countries in Asia.

yes you've highlighted the 3 that I'm poorest at Africa is particularly hard for me...I never know what's East or west... I ought to study it more.

I take those online quizzes too, and where there's multiple choice, I choose, mainly Geography General Knowledge, Music, and Culture first , before anything else.. Much as reading is my passion after music, literature is a more diffcult subject for me because I gave up reading fiction years ago.. so I get stuck with questions on new authors and titles

No. Once something bores me, it never changes.
I recall one of many required subjects in high school: "English Literature." I still remember the asinine comment the teacher made - "If you want to call yourself educated, you have to know these important works of these great writers."
I remember thinking, "Well...OK, so I won't call myself educated; it ain't worth this much misery."
I stared at the clock for 45 minutes, waiting for each click to the next minute. When the bell rang, I'd shoot out of my seat & be outside before the bell stopped ringing.
Today, just hearing the name "Chaucer" or Shakespeare" makes my eyes roll.

I loved English and Math...still do. Math because I love solving problems.. If there is a problem, there is a solution :ROFLMAO:
I love reading..maybe that's where English come in at..lol
