Any super-early risers?

These beautiful summer days have inspired me to get up much earlier. I actually do well going to bed at 9pm and getting up at 5a.m. rather than my usual 7a.m.
What an incredible difference it makes, I have a feeling of control and ample time to do things without rushing. Just the early morning air is so marvellous in the garden and for early dog walking with only other dog walkers around.

Is anyone a fan of very early starts?

I’m a ridiculously early riser. After 5 hours of sleep I’m ready to get up. Getting up early in the morning has it rewards. It’s super quiet, a great time for reading or posting on the forum and the peaceful solitude is heavenly. Listening to the birds wake up is a nice bonus too. My dogs aren’t always fond of it though. Lol. Some of the looks I get from them say it all. They’re so cute.

Ron is typically up by 5.00 and I’m always up by 6.00. Workday or weekend or vacation, it never changes!
I’m definitely a morning person and am most productive in the first part of the day. I don’t nap, and am in bed by 9.30 or 10, and usually asleep by 10.30.

I’ve been feeling more tired later in the day though and am wondering if I shouldn’t try to go to sleep earlier. I know from experience though that I’d I go to bed too early I’ll end up awake and unable to get back to sleep in the wee hours.

Noooooooooooooo!!...I really dislike early mornings... Don't get me wrong, it's very nice to have the morning fresh air... and the quiet... but that pales into insignificance, when the rest of the day drags on... .

I've always been a night owl.. even when I worked...of course there was nights when I was so exhausted I'd get to bed for 9pm for a 5 am Rise... but I was working and that gave me focus for the day.

Now If I get up at stupid o'clock.. I've done everything by mid morning.. and the day drags on.....no thanks :D

The 3 days when I had to be at work, I would get up around 5:15,get dressed, have breakfast, make my lunch leave my apt around 6,walk to work ,I started at 7
In the summer months when I have my windows open, the birdies wake me up around 4:15, some times I can go back to sleep. I now usually get up around 6-6:30

Have always been an early riser.
Went for an early morning walk with my dog at 5:30AM today .. it was light out, and there was a nice breeze.
Best time of the day for walking in the summer. (will get over 100 by afternoon)

Also, as suggested by the Electric Co., use clothes and dishwashers very early in the day for surviving summer heat.

Sleeping 9 to 5 is my usual routine all year long.

The only disadvantage I can see is that most of the TV shows I follow have to be watched online the next day and my computer screen is so dark it's night all the time for my beautiful PBS shows.

Today's one of my two annual deep cleaning days (December 26 and June 26) and I have more than half of it done by now (9:30.)

The Army has nothing on us seniors.

Morning is my favorite time of day. I woke up before 5 and then got up. Went over to feed the ferals before 6. Yesterday I slept until 0840 which was good because I was tired after working.

My stepfather has me stressed out so I couldn't get back to sleep this morning.

We are retired so no, generally not up until around 7am. But this morning I got up at 5am to check on my wife. She injured her hip on our vacation. The original doctor said the xray was ok so it was just a sprain. Problem is it had been over two weeks and she still cannot walk on it. We go to get an MRI in a few minutes. Then on Wednesday we go to the doctor.
