their lawn with clover? I'm toying with the idea because I'm tired of fighting the fungus that attacks fescue.

We have a lawn that was a third annual grass, a third perennial grass and a third clover. 
The clover helps shade the grass from the mid summer heat. From the distance you canāt tell there is any clover in the lawn .

Do what some people have been doing for years...plant your yard into a veggie/flower garden. If you live in the country there is no one to complain.
I didn't plant it this way but believe I have more clover than grass at this point. It gets a bit unsightly, the blossom stems grow quickly so a couple of days after you mow the blossoms are sticking up above the rest and it just looks weedy. I will say its nice and green, covers well and is great for pollinating bees.

No, but we have some big patches of clover and like them. The bees do too!

I've planted clover in my backyard and enjoy it more than grass. The yard doesn't get a lot of traffic.

If it was me I try it in some bare spots or a small area of your yard to see how well it grows first. Clover is better for the soil as it adds nitrogen.
