Yes, but after my second vaccination, not after catching the virus. I got vaccinated in March (or April) 2021 and lost my appetite pretty much completely about 10 days later. I just stopped feeling hungry, and I didn't even like the thought of food. I forced myself to eat once a day, sometimes twice, but there was no joy. And I didn't eat much at all.
My appetite slowly started coming back this year. I still don't feel hunger every day, but I've felt actual hunger pangs 4 or 5 different times so far this year. And I enjoy eating dinner, especially when my wife's home to have dinner with me. But I almost always enjoy eating a dinner even when she isn't home, and I often have dessert, too.
I still can't get myself to eat breakfast, so I usually just have tea. Sometimes I'll have a toasted bagel, and I'll have a banana or berries, too, if we have some. I don't even think about lunch, but if my wife's home, she'll make me a sandwich and I'll eat at least half of it. And we've been keeping trail mix, berries, grapes, and chocolate bars around, because I will snack on them. I even bake cookies once in a while...I'll eat those.
I mainly eat to keep my weight and energy up. After the covid vaccine I went from 180 pounds to 135 in about 6 months. My lowest was 127. That's when I started sleeping a lot and feeling generally miserable.
But, like I said, I feel like I'm starting to get my appetite back...gradually. Right now I weigh around 155-160.
