Are you " in the path" for viewing?

(Regular sunglasses, no matter how dark..won't do)

Yep. Got 'em. Made it to my brother's Ozark place today with glasses and all other provisions. We are completely remote (no connection to the outside world except for Starlink) and aren't leaving the mountain until Tuesday. Weather permitting, we should see stars since there's zero light pollution.

I would see partial. Will I watch it? No. I have welding helmets and extra lenses, but I've also had a retinal tear in 1 eye and a burst blood vessel in the other. There is enough floaters to make life difficult at times. Besides, not being a scientist, I don't think it's a big deal.

I will only get to see a partial eclipse in my neck of the US, but it will still be neat to see based on the eclipse simulator for my area. I picked up my eclipse glasses this morning from the library.
