Anyone having trouble accessing this site?

I tried many times to get into Senior Forums this afternoon, and could not. Below is a copy of what I got. I finally restarted my computer and shut off WIFI modem, then was able to get in. Is anyone else having this trouble?

Yes, I had this ten minutes ago or so. The main page must have had an issue, because I was able to go directly to threads I was being alerted to.
Thanks. I couldn't do anything. I even tried my VPN, and it connected through another state; still couldn't get logged in.
Yes, I had some trouble of that sort. I wasn't making the attempt through much of the day, but couldn't get on via the "What's New" tab at several times during the day.
Maybe it's fixed now. Thank you.

Likely a server hiccup.

I'm getting this message 3 out of 4 times when clicking on ''What's new'' or refreshing the page

You don't have permission to access /threads/how-is-your-day-today-chat-about-your-plans-and-achievements-2025.95463/page-275on this server.

I do remember seeing that same message MACK, but thought it was a connection issue with my wi-fi or VPN. I believe I went and did something else thinking if it was a wi-fi issue, it would correct itself. That's happened a few times lately. I have Verizon Fios.

I have an android 13 tablet which is degoogled. It works great but I get the forbidden error 403 when trying to view this forum. Haven't messed with it, so using one of my Linux laptops and it works perfectly.

I tried several browsers and got Android Firefox to work. The strange thing is I use the same browser on my tablet and smartphone, the smartphone with the same version of Android worked? Oh well, don't particularly trust Android anyway, I'm much safer sticking with Linux.

We block some versions of Chrome browser. Your smartphone and tablet are running on the same Android but using different versions of Chrome.

They are both running Via browser, no Chrome for me. The smartphone is mostly degoogled, but still has Google Play Store and Google Play services which are required for my work apps. The tablet has these removed and is using Aurora Store and F-Droid for software.

I'm sure Google probably has something causing this issue. I'm not going to, but I'll bet if I put Google Play Store, Google Play services as well as Google services framework back in the tablet the Via browser would then work for this forum. For what it's worth 90% of Google Play Store apps work fine without Google despite the warnings that it is required. Google, Apple, and Microsoft has managed to pervert software so that you are essentially spying on yourself and they actually don't have to do anything to compromise your privacy.

The second I log out of work my smartphone is turned off and placed in a faraday pouch. Sounds really paranoid doesn't it?

If you aren't aware of what your electronic devices are actually doing, watch a few of Rob Braxman's Youtube videos.

Degoogled or not this problem simply reminds me that I should use Linux only. The tablet will be missed for it's convenience, but it's going to be stored away and only used for extreme situations where a desktop or laptop isn't feasible.
