Anyone hear from GaryO ?

Gary ā€˜O has macular degeneration. Itā€™s an eye disease which takes your eye sight. For a while he was asking others to text in BOLD typing so he could see. Then he had his wife reading the texts for him as well as answering. Then about 2 months ago he said he could no longer communicate with us no matter how big the text is. He said the disease was progressing rapidly. He was quickly becoming blind. I really miss Gary. He was a great member here and will be dearly missed..
 
One of you, who is in touch with Gary, tell him about a
study that the University College London did a few years
ago, they reckoned that "Red Light", shined in the eye,
for 3 minutes per week, solves a lot of sight problems, I
was told by an optician 2 or 3 years ago that I had the
beginning, of cataracts in each eye, I got a little torch
from Amazon and the optician says that there is no sign
of any cataracts any more.

Last week I watched a movie starring Nick Nolte called ā€˜The Golden Voice!ā€™ It was about a young man who became homeless. He meets this older man who helps him realize he has a very special gift. He can sing.

Throughout the whole movie Nick Nolte was nothing but kind and supportive to the young man. Nick Nolte looked so much like Gary ā€˜O, not that Gary looked homeless.

I hymned and hawed about posting about this but it was such a good heart warming movie that I had to share. Itā€™s based on a true story.

Do you shine that right into your open eye, Mike ?.. or with your eyelid closed ?

I'm so sorry to read that the deceased progressed so rapidly and took his sight! I enjoyed Gary's posts and pictures and really miss him too. How thoughtful of you to inquire Dave.

It doesn't matter hollydolly, whatever suits you,
the light penetrates through the eyelid, but if
your eye is open, it might be better.

When I read the site years ago, they claimed that
it reversed macular degeneration, but I have no
proof of that, I told a friend who was losing her
sight about it and she said that it had stopped
getting worse and she only did a few seconds
daily, unfortunately, she died from cancer.
