Anyone Here on a Statin For Their Cholesterol?

Yes...but I take it only irregularly due to an unfortunate side effect.
Atorvastatin.
Never had any problems with Simvastatin.

I took Atorvastatin for many years and never realized it was the cause of excruciating foot & leg cramps at night. A group discussion about medications in a hair salon convinced me to change.

I started on Crestor about a year ago and no foot & leg cramps since.

I was on Crestor for a brief period of time, but I felt it was upsetting my sleep.
Hmmmm, I have on and off sleep disturbances (waking up in the middle of the night & staying awake for several hours) and never thought of Crestor possibly causing it.

Atorvastatin here. I take it every night before bed and haven't noticed any side effects and I have no idea if it's doing any good, but I trust my doctor and she recommended it.

My first try was with Lipitor, but it gave me stomach pains. My doc switched me to Simvastatin (Zocor) several years ago, and no side affects at all. It keeps both HDL and LDL in check for me, works well. I take it in the PM.

We both take 10 mg generic Crestor...so far so good, no issues for either one of us on this 1/4 dosage.
Jim takes the "noodle pill" Ezetimibe also.

After several years of trying to get my cholesterol under control, I finally agreed to be put on the lowest dose of Crestor. I was shocked to see how quickly it got my numbers back down into the normal ranges!!

From my yearly blood work mid year last
264 cholesterol
180 non-HDL
162 LDL

After less than a month on Crestor
170 cholesterol
86 non-HDL
67 LDL

I had some initial joint soreness which faded after a week or so. The only ongoing symptom I have is constipation, which is only a problem when my intake of fruits and veggies drops.
