Anyone Here Owns a RING System? Would You Recommend It?

Well as I said further back, I have the Ring doorbells video system.. have had it now for about 5 years.. and it immediately paid for itself by capturing clear video of the doorstep thief...

Cheers dear, I like the fact that it's wireless, so probably look into a purchase in September.

Low and behold, my television services provider, just send me info about a free system that would include that similar RING system. Oh dear, I guess I'll keep it bookmarked just in case the monthly cost for content insurance is too much lol.

👍👍👍

I have a Ring for the doorbell, a Blink for front steps monitoring, Nest for outside property (end to end) and another Nest watching my driveway.
I also have Simply Safe for a wireless security system that is monitored. (The cameras with Simply Safe are not that great so I only tried it for a week, then took it off the system.

The best is the Nest system, Blink has the ability to pan 360 degrees.
As far as Ring, its adequate. I also added a feature that allows you to store and playback recordings. I can also limit the range where it triggers so as not to pick up animals and cars in the street. Doesn't have that great of a night vision feature, but the Nest picks up anything and the night vision is excellent.

Sounds like your TV or phone, or PC picked up you talking about it and sent you information.
scary huh?o_O

this is mine on the front door.. I did have it on the outside wall next to the door prior to this, but having it on the door means I get to know immediately when the battery needs recharging..and can do it from inside the house..

Yep! I monitor clear out into the street. When they added the woman's voice to it saying, "You are being recorded," I was so surprised I turned around and slapped my butt, saying, "Record that bitch" hahaha!

We had several in my neighborhood and I am one them that save all their videos until police review ones in certain time frames.

The police stop about once a week to review my videos, since the house across the street has some strange going on. The young female officer reviewing my videos, after the recording announcement was added, happened to watch that one since it was in the same time frame as the time of said alleged illegal activities, and she said that was the funniest thing she had ever seen on a Ring video review.
