Anyone interested in discussing "The Forsyte Saga" book?

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the first book of The Forsyte Saga by Galworthy and I admit I'm having trouble getting my head around Irene.... Galworthy does not let us into her thought process like he does Soames. Any thoughts on Irene's character?
