Anyone play pickle ball

I just now signed up for an introductory pickleball class through the local Parks & Rec department. It starts July 9. I signed up for this class last winter but canceled because I was too self-conscious. But this time I'm going to force myself out of my comfort zone.

Is it a complicated game, @lynx78? I've heard that some players get rather competitive and unpleasant.

When I was younger, I played handball at the YMCA 3-4 times a week. As I got older, I switched to racquetball, primarily because handball was tearing up my hands. I am trying to get my wife to play pickleball, as it looks like great fun and it can be played outside. So far she is not interested, but I will keep trying.

I started playing a few months ago and enjoyed it but probably won't play again until the Fall. Too hot in the summertime.

I did play a lot of racquetball when I was younger but of course pickleball is very different as far as the strokes go. I never played tennis.

I bought a pickle ball set that was a toy for my grandson and I to play it was so much fun! I would definitely play with a better set and more competitively if an opportunity arose
