1.) According to the Web, the Simms twins (also Sims), Kenny and Bobby, were part of a family gospel group until discovered by Sam Cooke in 1961. Their discography begins that same year.
Wrong. They released a record called Lola which was played locally in early ‘59. (Not to be confused with the Kinks 1970 song which is altogether different.) My BFF at the time had the 45. Anyone recall? Sure love to hear that one again.
2.) Jack Judge – not to be confused with the legendary British songwriter who wrote It’s A Long Way To Tipperary – released Wholeheartedly in ‘61. No mention of this song or this particular Jack Judge on the Internet. Anyone help me?
