Anyone remember Pat Benatar?

Pat Benatar was big in the late 70's and 80's. I went to her concert in 1981. She fainted on stage after her first song and that was it. I got a t-shirt.

So, Pat Benatar and her guitarist husband, Neil Geraldo, performed in Dallas Saturday night. 42 years later I went to see them. She is now 70 and they have been married for 41 years. I was incredulous as to whether she could hit those high notes but damn she can still belt it out like she did in the 80's and Geraldo is an incredible guitarist. I can't count the number of times I said "wow" when she sang.

Here's a clip from 2023.

I always think that if you attend a concert and it "moves you" it was worth it. When she sang this song at the concert it brought me back to another time and put tears in my eyes.

I ticked another one off my bucket list!

Thatโ€™s good to hear. We go see a lot of the 70s groups and most still do a great show. I know a guy whose mother in law grew up with Pat Benatar on Long Island. They all got invited to one of her shows a few years ago and he showed me the pics of them all with her and Neil Giraldo. Apparently a very happy couple to have made it this long.

Yes, I remember her powerful voice. She was one of the first women who really put bad guys in their places! 41 years together. That's epic!

I always like Pat, great singer and performer, the and now. Glad you got to see her, thanks for sharing!
