Anyone see the original Naked Gun movies? Did you hear about the new one?

They were just hilarious with Leslie Neilson (RIP). I guess the franchise has been rebooted with Liam Neeson and the trailer looks great! The reviews are saying it is just as funny as the original. We have tickets for next week. The fact that someone as tough as Liam Neeson can make fun of himself makes is priceless.

 

I was watching the Stephen Colbert Show the other night and Liam Neeson was talking about his latest movie "Naked Gun". He said it is a funny movie and he a Pamela Anderson had a great time during the filming.
 
The fact that it's rated 7.1 on IMDB and the fact that Liam Neeson looks enjoyable in the role makes me think it might be okay.
Hey! Leslie Nielson - Liam Neeson...same initials and same "son" on the end of their names. Coincidence? I think not.

Criticisms of the movie are that the jokes are repetitive.

But the original Naked Gun movies weren't spectacular so...

The original Police Squad! was a perfect spoof of an old TV show called MSQUAD! with Lee Marvin. It failed to catch an audience because, as Leslie Nielson said, you had to pay close attention to it to get the jokes and TV viewers tend to do other things while watching TV and tune in intermittently.

I was just commenting on the budding romance of Pam Anderson and Liam Neeson. Seems to be true. I think they make a good couple. I like them both.
