Anyone Still Use Email?

My land line phone service went away. It is convenient to message on the smart phone sometimes, but it is easier to e-mail on the computer.

My computer is a desktop that is embedded in a big desk. I have never owned a laptop. The few times that I have used one it did not impress me. My desktop is connected to a printer and a scanner.

I still get snail mail most every day.

I do not use my phone for anything but calls and texts. It has a search engine and GPS, but I don't use them. Every once in a while my phone tells me yet another app is going to sleep for lack of use, which is swell.

I still have email, and I check it daily on my desktop PC. My kids and grandkids email me, some of my bills come via email, and also appointment reminders.

Do you still use email for communications or is that too obsolete? I mean for something other than a login.

Same question about a computer...

Still use one or do you do everything from your phone?
Yes, especially for messages that are on the long side. It's much easier to type on a regular keyboard than on the phone, and I dislike the audio method, as it frequently misunderstands what word I am saying.

My phone's voice-to-text app has actually made me feel self-conscious about my speech.

Lost count of how many times I've had to delete the part of my text that caught, "For **** sake, did I stutter?!"

Yes I email all the time and no Iphone. I have a tracphone flip phone. I get teased a lot but that is ok with me. I pay about 23.00 every 90 days and my friends pay soooooooo much more. I am thinking of going to consumer cellular in future for unlimited texting .

Asking those questions shows you obviously don't understand much about the telecom and computer worlds, especially the commercial realm. But then neither do many others using smartphones and living on Facebook and other post smartphone social media.

Or maybe I do understand and wanted to make my statements and questions simple for people to understand?

Then again, maybe not.

Still use email, and in retirement I have also made an effort to send hand wrote notes, letters and postcards to folks.

I enjoy writing the "old fashioned" way and being able to take my time to write as neat as I can in cursive.

I have been complimented by young folks on how neat my signature is when I sign credit card bills - ha ! Never thought that would happen.

It amazes me that some young folks don't know how to write in Cursive ! I have been told that some elementary schools are not teaching Cursive handwriting anymore..... I find that hard to believe...

Sure. I use email a lot, daily, with a desktop computer. I also use Thunderbird, the free email program, both to send and receive email, and to store emails in folders. Very tidy; easy to deal with.
