Anyone Taking An Iron Supplement?

i should probably take them since i have been borderline anemic my whole life

I take a low dose iron tablet every other day. I don't eat a lot of meat so I started taking iron to supplement. You should read up on it before you start taking it, though. Too much can be harmful.

I take every supplement BUT iron. As someone posted previously, I also take B12.... but not too close to bedtime... The same with D3, if you take it too close to bedtime, it interrupts your sleep pattern.🛌

i have trouble with b12. it acts like an energy drink in my system and if i take it every day i can not sleep at all. :(

MLH.... that would be why I take it.... I need the energy. Honestly, my blood work always says I am low on B12 and D3. That is why I take it.

No, I don't but yesterday I saw a YouTube video by a doctor I follow and he mentioned that too much iron is not good. He said to be careful cooking with cast iron cookware due to the iron you will get from it in your food. Now I am concerned about this. I use one almost daily and had used only those for over twenty years.

The doctor is right.. long ago, I kind of overdid it with iron supplements and had very bad reactions.

I take iron in a vitamin supplement for something else so iron is just part of it. It's not like pure ferrous sulfate or anything. That used to give me serious rectal bleeding.
