Anyone watching The Gilded Age?

It is on HBO, set in the 1880's. It is all about the Blue Bloods vs. the Nouveau Riche in that time. Very entertaining. Christine Baranski plays one of the established socialites who refuses to acknowledge new money. Carrie Coons is fantastic as an up-and-comer whose husband has become wealthy by owning railroads around the country. She is over-the-top in the decor of her home and her outfits to overcompensate for her humble upbringing but it doesn't impress the Old Money. There are lots of confrontations. It is from the creator of Downtown Abbey. Great show!

You will find it very entertaining. I love that we are both watching The Righteous Gemstones and The Gilded Age. Nice to find things in common with other members!

I love Christine Baranski she is a great actress...the clothes...the decor..the homes..tis such a great series....I would have loved being born in that era..of course would have had to have had money..otherwise life would be darn hard...

Love anything produced by Julian Fellowes, especially Downton Abbey, so I am looking forward to watchng The Gilded Age!
