Anyone Well-Versed in Estate Law? Important Questions

If anyone here knows about estate law and could answer some very important questions
for me, could you shoot off a PM please? (And yes, to the first person who says "contact
a lawyer".... :giggle: already done and the questions are for opinions.)

I would suggest that estate law is different in every state so you will need local advice. Have you tried getting a referral from friends? Our Prudential Financial Rep. recommended an attorney when we had questions about a trust. Our Tax Preparer recommended a great attorney for doing our wills. My older step-brother recommended an attorney group to handle my Dad's estate, after he used them for his mother's. Perhaps AARP might steer you in the right direction? Keep asking questions - you'll get there. (BTW - let us know if you solve your problem :)

I have been to Free seminar by estate lawyer(s)..that offer free consultation for attendance
check with Senior center for business card on bulletin board.

Thanks, Jace... there's already a lawyer involved in this estate case. I thought it would be good to have some
varied opinions before bombarding him with questions... or at least know what some of the terms mean.

This is a 'how much string' question.
As a forum lives from exchange please give the specific US state and your question. We recently went through setting up a trust and whole rest of the story.
