You might want to look into a skid plate and some hand guards if going off-road. I learned the hard way what happens when one doesnāt have those accessories. And a chest/body armor, but you probably already know that. I could have avoided several foolish injuries, if only I had been more sensible with protection. Oh, well. Great fun though, isnāt it!Signed up for a 2 day riding class called ChampSchool put on by Yamaha Champions Riding School. I have been out riding on my Yamaha XT-250 a few times getting a feel for limited traction in a low consequence environment. I've only been riding since July/24. The location is slightly west of Craters of the Moon NP.

I'm big on all aspects of MC safety. I do have and use the full variety of safety gear. The hand guards would be great especially right now w cold temps. And it is fun, and I live in a very nice area for riding, but only 7-8 months a year. You might want to look into a skid plate and some hand guards if going off-road. I had a few bikes back when. One was a Norton 750, another was a Trident Bonneville. The Norton was under powered but handled very well. The Triumph Trident didn't last too long. It developed a strange side to side rocking movement as the speed increased to about 50 mph. It was rather uncontrollable and dangerous. I got fed up with the under powered English stuff compared to a comparable sized Japanese bike. There was no comparison. I went Japanese for the rest of the 65 years I rode bikes.Got my first motorcycle two years ago and I am now addicted. It's become an obsession.
I currently have a 2023 Triumph Bonneville T100.

Is this the colour when you bought it or did you paint it?Me, 50 years ago, 1975 Honda 750 Super Sport 4 cyl, bored out to 811 by Yoshimura. My home made Crotch Rocket before they were called Crotch Rockets. I hauled it around in the Dodge van.

I had it painted, helmet too. The black on the finned piston section of the motor was me too, when I had it apart. I also upholstered the seat myself. Is this the colour when you bought it or did you paint it?
Thatās a LOT of work. You must have really been into biking. When I was younger I went out with a guy who was a bike mechanic. He did that same thing as you. Replaced stock parts for better ones . He did a bit of work on my Suzuki also. I had K & N filters and some other stuff done.I had it painted, helmet too. The black on the finned piston section of the motor was me too, when I had it apart. I also upholstered the seat myself.
