"ANZ''s" - (Songs from Down Under')

There is lots of great music coming out of Australia and New Zealand these days. One of my favorite bands is The Beths out of Auckland. Here's my favorite song from them:


Another favorite is an artist called Hachiku who was born in the US but is based in Melbourne. So she isn't Australian herself but chooses to live and work there. This is my favorite song of hers:


An actual favorite Australian artist born there and working there is Courtney Barnett who writes imaginative songs and is a great guitar player. Here's one of my favorite songs from her:

My favourite song of the short-lived band. (y)
 
The Riptides began life in Brisbane in 1976 when 5 university students, inspired by the new punk sounds of the time, began to dabble in making music.
After name and line-up changes, the group finally solidified as the Riptides in 1978 and released their first single ‘Sunset Strip’
