Apple Butter.

Went to Walmart yesterday with mama and like always I follow her around like a little puppy pushing the cart and guarding her purse while she shops.

We were going down one aisle and I glanced over and saw apple butter and remembering how long it had been since I had some I grabbed a jar.......just had a piece of toast with some (a lot ) on it and son of a gun it's good.

I have always made my own - its pretty easy. Perhaps I should do that this week.........

I like to pick up a jar of Apple Butter every now and then. It's a nice change from jams and jellies.

I haven't had apple butter since I was a little kid.. didn't even know it was still made.

I have always loved Apple Butter, have a jar in fridge now.

We have a big apple tree, some of the apples end up as butter. Have a freshly canned supply that will easily last the winter.

Used to make my own Apple Butter.

I bought a small jar to make cookies with.
Went online to see if there was a different recipe than mine.

Found one that is more work than I wanted to do at that time.
If any one has made date pinwheels ,, recipe is similar to that..

Still may made some time after holidays.
