Appliance shopping these days

We have to get a new range because the cost of repairs is so high, we may as well. There are not many appliance stores anymore, just Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Best Buy. None of those stock more than a few models. However, the online selection is ginormous. Its a bit overwhelming.

We walked into BB today. In times past, if you walked into the appliance section, the salesperson would be on us like a chicken on a June bug. Today? *crickets*. No one to explain the features, help you compare, nuthin. Trying to do research online was hit or miss. Better Homes top picks were different from Good Housekeeping. Which were different from Consumer Reports. And trying to find that exact model? Good luck.

We finally made a choice, hopefully. Get this: it has Bluetooth so presumably I can start it from my recliner or the back yard or wherever. . Not sure I will ever use that feature and cannot imagine a scenario where I would. It’s also an air fryer, so maybe we can get that appliance off our countertop. Ah, well, there are worse problems to have.

When I bought my condo 3 years ago I bought all new appliances. I ordered them online. I chose Lowe’s because you have 30 days to return them for any reason which the other stores don’t offer.

I'm going to be buying a new fridge in the near future as mine has a coolant leak, so I've been researching.....I've had good luck by reading the appliance repairmen forums for info, so far I've narrowed the brands down to GE and Frigidaire with the least repairs ....I'll probably buy from Home Depot as I've used them in the past with good service. Good luck
