I don't know any of you outside this forum but I receive great joy in sharing our lives together via SF. I wish I could meet and spend time with everyone. Obviously, having a face to face with all SF members is farfetched and unreasonable. If I could I would if you will kindly open the door.

I'd go to such a meeting, but it won't happen of course. Maybe for the best, there is something unique in having friends this way.

I'm fairly new here but understand the sentiment. For close on 8 years I hosted online writing forums, got to know some wonderful people from across the globe and was privileged to meet several of them; I was invited to stay with one in Croatia (beautiful country) and hosted 3 separate individuals in my home - one from London, one from Germany and one from Canada. Unfortunately rising costs meant that we had to close the forums and I lost touch with most during the Covid pandemic, felt quite worried actually as I've no way of knowing if they are okay or....I appreciate that people change and move on and perhaps without the writing there were not enough other shared interests to keep us connected. Sad, but I love them all still and would meet up in a heartbeat. If any of you get the chance, I encourage you to take it

@Mr. Ed, I'm glad you are finding this forum a source of inspiration. I know I have. I've had Private Message conversations with several members and feel I know them even better as a result. This is such a great group of people. We appreciate you as well!

@Medusa did a few of these for forum people, she called it the Coffee Klatch or something like that. I participated when I could and enjoyed seeing some faces to go with the posts.

Actually, I have been thinking about our Coffee Klatches and miss them too. Would be fun to have them again.
