Are air fryers worth it!

I have a Ninja double tabletop oven... the bottom oven has a basket for air frying and that's one of the settings. Absolutely love it and use it as my main oven for everything else.
That’s the one we’ve got.
Like yourself, I’m thrilled with it.
We even cook fresh battered haddock in there and it tastes and looks like something you’d get at a fish ā€˜n chips store. I love šŸ’• our Ninga. Plus it’s the name of my last motorcycle.

We had one for years and did not know it had the Air Fryer feature...šŸ™„

It quit working one day and we went to the store to get an exact replacement as we really like the Toaster Oven. The lady there was carrying on about all the features including the "Air Fryer" ha......
So we got the new one.

Before throwing away the old one, I performed Brain Surgery on it and fixed it 🤪

So we gave the new one to #1 daughter.

ms gamboolgal has not used the Air Fryer feature much..... ha šŸ¤” But she uses the Oven dang near daily so maybe we just don't know what good Air Frying is ?

that's interesting to know about the steam because having a smaller one 5 ltrs.. 2 portions size..mine doesn't emit any steam at all
I didn't think mine did until I noticed that the underside of a shelf above where the airfryer was cooking felt damp and realised it was steam. I looked it up and apparently airfryers turn the liquids present from raw food into steam. As the airfryer was cooking a chicken, there was likely a lot of juices/liquid. I hadn't noticed it when I used the smaller one but, it held much smaller quantities so less steam I suppose. (y)

My husband keeps saying we ought to get one but I am not convinced. They cost a lot and one would take up valuable room on the worktops.
Are they really energy and time saving and does food cooked in them taste good?
I had one on my counter but I felt it just wasn't big enough for my family so I hardly used and gave it away to a family member when we renovated the kitchen and the air fryer is part of the oven. I still mostly cook bacon in it and eventually will start to experiment with my other air fryer recipes.

I have a Phillips Air Fryer. I love it and there is not much to clean up. I buy those small pizza cases from the bread shop which holds one or 2 at a stretch. I just put some tomato sauce on the base, some olives a small amount of chorizo and mozzarella cheese on the top. Heat the oven 200c.
for about 2 minutes then turn down to 180c until the cheese has melted. Toast comes out well done, not too crispy.

Just went to a clearance store. Could have bought one for $25. No returns. I didn’t want to stand and read the info and don’t know what condition it might be in once the package is re-opened. Some boxes looked fairly new, but battered.

You can even buy air fryer liners for cooking things like beef ribs and anything with any kind of sauce. It helps keep the pans cleaner.
