I noticed lately we are rarely seeing people with masks on including us! I see people wearing a mask once in a while at stores and not that much in doctors offices either.I am also not hearing about COVID on the news either that much! Thanks!

I'm in Chicago burbs and masks are rare. Wife and I continue to use masks when going to stores. We're the 1-in-a-hundred that do. Many medical facilities have dropped the requirement in the past couple of months. We'll be traveling both domestically and internationally this summer and will wear masks in the airport and on the planes. We'll be in London and other cities part of the time and will definitely wear masks.

Yes .. the minority.. for example I was in the Hospital emergency dept about 3 weeks ago. It was packed, I counted over 80 people.. and perhaps 3 or 4 were wearing masks.. including me

I do see the occasional person in the supermarket..

We did have an announcement last week to say that Covid was no longer a threat and masks would no longer be needed, going forward.. but I have 2 boxes of unused 100 disposable masks plus some excellent quality material ones.. so I;m gonna get some wear out of those..

it is hit and miss but i found in traveling certain areas wear them far more then others.
what is odd......... it is often older people and then some college aged folks ..........
I do not judge people as i do not know their stories/ risks.
at my grand kids school there are kids who put them on as they leave the building to meet their parents picking them up ... which leads me to believe some parents want their kids to still wear them .... but they only do in front of parents....

I'm seeing less and less wearing masks. Yesterday was the first time I didn't wear my mask during the day at all but I took a train that hardly has any passengers then was in an open environment (the park). Otherwise according to where I am, I may or may not put my mask on. A week ago Monday, I didn't wear my mask for the preliminaries during our eye appointment but put it on when the doctor was checking my pressures because she gets really close to me then.

Only on very cold days, keeps the face warm.

I tip if you wear glasses and they steam up when
you wear a mask, twist the elastic that goes over
your ears, so that the top one is pulling down and
the bottom one up, then put your fingers on at the
side of the mask to open it, that lets the exhaled
breath out at the side, instead of up to the glasses.

Mike.

Thank you for that tip Mike. Since it's warm now, the glasses aren't fogging up. Who knows, by the time it's cold again, mask wearing may be a thing of the past. I agree that wearing masks did keep my face warm during the cold weather, so though I could have removed them while walking outside, I didn't.

I'm glad that that the mask mandate made masks more common so that when people are sick they don't feel weird wearing a mask out shopping etc. That will cut down on colds and flu.
I still notice when young people are wearing masks. I feel like they're up to something because no one else including a lot of elderly are wearing them around here.
The VA hospital is still requiring masks. Good. That should stay in place. I've caught things in the hospital because it's full of sick people!
