Are Retiree's Living Too Frugally? Can We Treat Ourselves More?

I was aware that my parents didn't have a lot of money. I was determined that I wouldn't be like that , but I did inherit their ability to manage money, and save too. I had a good career in IT and together with Mrs.L, we managed a good life and accumulated adequate savings. Now we're retired, I can't shake off that need to save. Mrs.L says that we have worked hard and we should be treating ourselves. She's right (as usual), but spending money really hurts
