Are tanks obsolete?

Grampa Don

Yep, that's me
The West has been supplying the Ukrainians with anti-tank missiles that seem to be pretty effective. Here is a link to information about one of them called the Javelin. With weapons like these that can be hand carried, is the day of the tank over?

Tanks are a tool. Unless correctly used or built like many other things their usefulness becomes questionable.

I think that's why the Russians have been applying supplemental or extra armor after they come off the factor line. Personally I think the Russian tanks were over rated on a destructability scale. Still have alot of performance, capabilities, features etc but the right munitions will do the job. Also weighing down tanks with extra armor along with munitions and other supplies slows it down and lowers fuel milage. And since Russian logistics aren't up to speed yet this is an issue.
