In principle, yes, a good idea, of course.

But even that paper isn't definitive, and notes some unknowns.

My question would be - we are only now becoming aware of the danger of microplastics. How does this idea/tech factor into that? Does the surface shed microplastics? After a years use? Five years? That would be the larger danger, imo.

But bigger brains that mine are no doubt trying to answer these questions.
 
I see 5 States are repaving roads with Asphault containing Plastics, the test is to see
if it will cut down on plastics. Mo. Cal. Virginia, I forget the other 2 States. Wow, Mo.!!!
Mo used Cinders a few years back.
