Are there family members, who kind of fell away from the family?

I have a niece that nobody has seen for a long time. When she was 17, she ran off with a 46 year old guy, with a wife and 7 kids. He eventually got a divorce and married my niece and they kind of got lost in the wind.
Are there family members, who kind of fell away from the family?

Yes.

Me! I revisited my family when I loved back to the UK, and found that not only do I need enjoy what my family has become, but that I just no longer fit with their ideas and interests. We're blood, but we're just very very different.
