Are there moral absolutes, or does everything just boil down to opinion?

Societies have the right to determine what is good and moral behavior. So, it is relative depending on the society, but, not the individual.

Aren't societies made of individuals? (Just kidding). I get your point that it is individuals collectively that decide what is good and moral, but still it can be challenged, and may ultimately be up to the Supreme Court to decide.

I think the old saying "fool around and find out" applies in many cases because people by nature can be pretty stupid and lazy. They do stupid impulsive stuff, but are too lazy to think things through. Thank goodness ignorance of the law is no excuse.
