Are we heading toward a next Ice Age?

Probably, it's happened before and not that long ago. In the 1800s there was 'The Year Without Summer'. Plus a huge volcano eruption would do it. That's happened before and will happen again. History always repeats itself.

No, we're actually just coming out of a little ice age. The summers were much hotter 100 years ago.

But people at elevation in Europe will most likely periodically experience very early frost nights.
I don't have any kids or grandchildren, but I certainly think about the young people and babies yet to be born. What kind of planet are they going to inherit?
Heck, we as seniors are already seeing catastrophic flooding and fire incidents around the US and other parts of the world (Milwaukee or India anyone?). Clouds now carry lots more rain and damaging storms are more prevalent due to the heating of the oceans. When we moved to Dallas almost 20 years ago humidity wasn't really a "thing". Now we get waves of it in the form of clouds that sit on top of the city for days. Who would have thought Hurricane Helene would make it all the way to the Carolinas? I'll leave it at that.
